The current exhibition in the Rodgau Gallery at Nieuwpoorter Straße 90 is coming to an end. It will officially run until 15 January, but the impressive photographs by Katja Gehrung can only be seen until 12 January. Due to a follow-up exhibition, the artist will have to take down her works earlier. The sculptures by Bianca Thater will remain on display until the official end of the exhibition. Gehrung's photographs are stagings in which she is always the model herself, selfies so to speak, but very elaborate and not spontaneous. Like Thater in her sculptures, Gehrung takes up animal themes, which she realises in an exciting and humorous way. Looking at the scenery and imagining that everything is staged, posed and photographed by Gehrung, without any further help, has a very special charm and deserves respect. The gallery is open on Sundays from 14:00 to 18:00 and Wednesdays from 18:00 to 21:00. The next exhibition "Gucken, was passt" starts on Sunday, 2 February, with a special guest for a reading during the vernissage. More information soon on the homepage and in the press.
