Since 1 January 2025, there has been a very special offer for Rodgau families with newborns: the free Baby Info Box. In cooperation with Daniela Kambor from "mykidssafe", intensive work has been carried out in recent months on the concept for its implementation in Rodgau. The aim of the project is to make it easier for young families to start family life together and to give them a warm welcome to the town. The lovingly designed box is packed by hand and contains a variety of useful and informative content on the topics of "babies" and "parenthood". One focus is on an overview of what the town of Rodgau has to offer, including childcare options, the services of the family centre and the town library. Thanks to the support of 20 Rodgau businesses, the box contains a wealth of information, vouchers and gifts. In addition, it is supplemented by supra-regional companies that also contribute to the attractiveness of this offer. The Baby Info Box has a current value of around €280. With the Baby Info Box, the town of Rodgau is sending out an appreciative signal to young parents and their children. At the same time, it makes an important contribution to education by providing information from charitable organisations and gives families an overview of the numerous services available in their town. After the birth and registration of the child, the parents receive a welcome letter from the town of Rodgau. This letter contains a voucher that families can redeem at one of the pick-up points. The pick-up points are the Nieder-Roden and Jügesheim public libraries during their opening hours, Kita 4 in Weiskirchen and the family centre in Jügesheim by appointment.
