Two great events with Silke Aichhorn will take place on 8 March in the Bürgerhaus Nieder-Roden, Römerstraße 15. In the afternoon at 4 pm, children aged 4 to 10 can go on a "journey around the world". The participatory concert offers music from different countries around the world, narrated and plucked by harpist Silke Aichhorn. She has a harp, a treasure chest and lots of other exciting things in her luggage. How about travelling around the world on a flying carpet? Then choose a country on the globe and get off. Brazil, Russia, America, Asia or Africa. Aichhorn plays music from these countries on her beautifully decorated harp. The children are invited to join in. Before each onward journey, a few puzzles have to be solved, instruments have to be made to sound and some presents for the treasure chest have to be taken along. A concert to join in and dream, to explore and discover, to recognise and understand. At 8 pm, the musician enchants theatre guests with "Lebenslänglich frohlocken", a humorous reading accompanied by unusual harp music. She talks about her life with a complicated instrument and equally complicated clients and performance venues. Each performance is a special challenge, which she shares with the audience in an entertaining way. She also conveys original harp music and takes the instrument out of the dust bin. The mixture of musicality, virtuoso craftsmanship combined with inimitable naturalness is inspiring. Added to this is the unconditional will to present new and unknown harp music. Tickets for both events can be purchased at the Department of Culture and Sport in the Alte Apotheke, Schwesternstraße 10, Ludwigstraße entrance or at the box office.
