The topic of "Farewell and death" is the focus of two events at the Family Centre, Alter Weg 63 F. An information evening will take place on Monday, 10 March, from 7 to 9 pm, for which interested parties are asked to register by 5 March. Children can experience farewell and loss at an early age, be it through the death of a pet or a loved one. Participants will look at how children understand farewell or death and why it is important to talk to them about it. There will be suggestions on helpful terms and ways to involve children in farewell processes in an age-appropriate and sensitive way. Anyone who has attended the information evening can take part in an in-depth workshop. This will take place on Saturday, 22 March, from 9:30 to 15:00, please register here by 17 March. The workshop is suitable for the whole family with children aged 5 and over and aims to deal with the topics together. Each family collects strengthening rituals that will make it easier to deal with these issues consciously in the future. The participants discover the variety of feelings that don't just have to be difficult, but also hold a lot of lightness. They express this in a self-made bouquet of comforting flowers that can be used as a treasure trove of experience at any time. The cost of materials for the workshop is 5 euros. The information evening and workshop will be led by grief counsellors Claudia Walter and Sabrina Schwanebeck. Registrations can be made by telephone on 06106 693-1167, by email via familienzentrum@rodgau.de or via the online registration on the website.
