Starting signal for new recycling centre

Construction time and expansion

Construction work on the comprehensive expansion and modernisation of the Rodgau recycling centre begins on 1 September. The project will optimise the disposal of recyclables for citizens and significantly expand the range of services. The expansion will take place on the neighbouring meadow area. This will increase the collection area from around 1,100 m² to around 3,000 m². The construction work is expected to be completed in spring 2026.

Modernisation and improvements

The modernisation brings with it numerous improvements: with the expanded range of recyclables, materials such as old tyres, outdoor wood and bulky waste can be handed in for a fee in future. In addition, a raised level in the new area allows recyclables to be dropped directly from above into the containers below. A separate entrance and exit as well as additional parking areas on the new site on Philipp-Reis-Strasse are intended to prevent tailbacks.

Understanding restrictions

Stadtwerke Rodgau asks for your understanding in advance for possible restrictions that may arise as a result of the construction work. The team on site will do everything possible to minimise any disruption. With this forward-looking project, the town of Rodgau is investing in an efficient and citizen-friendly waste disposal system that meets the growing needs of the population.
