7 years of CITY CYCLING Rodgau: We are shifting up a gear

Rodgau is pedalling again: from 18 May to 7 June, the town is taking part in the nationwide CITY CYCLING campaign for the seventh time. The motto of this year's campaign is: "7 years of CITY CYCLING Rodgau: We're shifting up a gear". The celebratory kick-off will be a joint cycle tour on Sunday, 18 May at 2 pm, starting at Heinrich-Sahm-Platz. The route, which is around 13 kilometres long, first leads to the old pharmacy in Jügesheim. On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, the Jügesheim local history association is organising tours there for those interested. The route continues along the Rodgau circular route via the old fire station in Weiskirchen to the forest festival of the mothers' centre in Hainhausen - they are celebrating their 25th anniversary. An optional return journey together is planned. The campaign will conclude with an evening event on Friday, 13 June from 6 p.m. in the town council chamber in Jügesheim town hall - with a prize-giving ceremony and small surprises. Further items on the programme are currently still being coordinated. Participation is free of charge and registration is possible at www.stadtradeln.de/rodgau. Last year, 159,837 kilometres were cycled in Rodgau and 26,533 kilograms of CO₂ were saved - a strong signal for more climate protection. But Rodgau wants to achieve more - and is therefore shifting up a gear in line with this year's motto.
