In May of this year, the Rodgau public library launched a sunflower competition. Who has the tallest sunflower? The sunflower seeds for this were distributed free of charge in the Nieder-Roden and Jügesheim libraries from 25 March to 28 March. Participation was possible by sending in a photo of the sunflower with a recognisable folding rule by 30 August. In March, around 80 children received sunflower seeds and 17 photos were submitted to the public library. The five tallest sunflowers were Moira Klein with 405cm, Emilia Klein with 370cm, Pablo Virto-Bedacht with 285cm, the Rasselbande Rodgau with 250cm and Louis Stegmaier with 197cm. The lucky winners each received a certificate and a book voucher worth 20 euros.
