City library: handicrafts, colouring and more for children aged 6 and over

September sees the launch of a new creative programme at the Nieder-Roden public library. Once a month on Friday afternoons, children will paint, glue and fold. Crafting and colouring support children's development on very different levels. On the one hand, fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are trained, and on the other hand, children can live out their imagination and creativity through such activities, which has a positive effect on cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills. Crafting and colouring can also help children to express their emotions and relieve stress. But above all, working in a group is a lot of fun. The first event is on 20 September at 3:30 pm. This afternoon is all about colourful bookmarks, which are first folded and then painted and glued on. The programme is free of charge. As places are limited, registration is requested. Registrations are accepted in person at the public libraries, by telephone on 06106 693 1322 or by e-mail to buecherei@rodgau.de.
