Children's and youth parliament: Contributing your own ideas

The town of Rodgau offers young people the opportunity to play an active role in shaping their town. Children and young people between the ages of 10 and 17 can contribute their ideas and opinions and work together on projects in the children's and youth parliament. The children's and youth parliament is a body in which young people meet to discuss issues that affect them. They have the opportunity to participate in political decision-making processes and represent their interests. The parliament is supported by the city's youth work programme and has its own budget. The young people take part in meetings and discussions and also represent the interests of young people vis-à-vis the city administration. Children and young people between the ages of 10 and 17 can stand for election until 25 September. The election itself will take place online from 9 - 13 October. All eligible voters will receive a personalised QR code by post. More information and the online registration process can be found at www.rodgau.de/kijupa
