Schillerstrasse between Hauptstrasse and Kolpingstrasse has been undergoing refurbishment since September last year. The final construction phase is now underway. From 6 November, the Kolpingstraße/Schillerstraße junction will be closed to traffic. As a result of the closure, motor vehicles will only be able to use the bridge to a limited extent: For an estimated 6 weeks, it will not be possible to drive through from Weiskirchen East to West. The diversion will be via the B45 in both directions. The car park in front of the community centre and the supermarket, the catering and sports facilities and the nursery can be reached on foot and by bicycle at any time. Cars travelling from Weiskirchen-Ost can access the car park via the Schillerstraße bridge, cars travelling from Rodgau-West must take the diversion via the B45. During the closure, the OF-40 bus will not stop at the bus stops in Weiskirchen-Ost or at the "Bürgerhaus-Weiskirchen" stop in either direction. The bus stop at Goetheplatz is the next stop. The quickest way to reach it from Weiskirchen-Ost is via the subway between Anhalterstraße and Ostpreußenstraße. Stadtwerke Rodgau will be operating a taxi shuttle that will run every half hour from Monday to Friday, probably from 6 am to 6 pm, from the Weiskirchen-Ost area via the usual OF-40 stops. The exact journey times are displayed at the stops and can also be found on the city and public utility company websites. Space in the taxi shuttle is limited, so it should primarily be available to people with limited mobility who cannot use the subway on their own. In addition, the Hopper can still be used during its regular operating hours, Monday to Thursday from 6 pm to 2 am, Friday from 6 pm to Sunday 5 am, and Sundays and public holidays from 5 am to 2 am. As Schillerstraße is still closed, the existing diversion will remain in place. Access to the pharmacy, doctor and shops is possible as before. The fire and rescue services have been informed about the closure of the junction and are ready to respond at any time. Once this construction phase has been completed, the refurbishment of Schillerstrasse will be finished.
