The Kleine Oper Bad Homburg presents the adventures of Nils Holgersson, freely adapted from the children's book by Selma Lagerlöf, as a modern family musical for children aged 5 and over. The journey takes place on Sunday, 8 December at 4 pm without an intermission in the Bürgerhaus Nieder-Roden, Römerstraße 15. The theatre café, run by the Mütterzentrum, will be open from 3 pm. The Kleine Oper Bad Homburg has invented a new story. Nils is made small by a goblin because he is disrespectful and cheeky to him. In order to grow up again, Nils has to solve a riddle. Namely: What do the countries Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, France and Scotland have in common? Nils sets off with the pet goose Martin to solve the riddle. In the process, he learns a lot about each country, its traditions and peculiarities. As Nils is travelling in the animal world, he also learns about the dangers that threaten smaller creatures. But with cleverness and solidarity, the two of them always manage to escape. By the end of his journey, Nils has learnt to respect his fellow creatures - both humans and animals - and has made many new friends. With the solution to the riddle, he will grow up again! Advance tickets for 10 euros are available at the Agentur für Kultur, Sport und Ehrenamt in the Alte Apotheke, Schwesternstraße 10 and online at www.frankfurtticket.de. Remaining tickets can be purchased at the box office from 3 pm.
