PASTA E BASTA, a production by the Hamburger Kammerspiele, will be performed at Bürgerhaus Nieder-Roden, Römerstraße 15 on Friday, 12 April at 8 p.m. The author Dietmar Löffler is directing the play and is also acting in it himself. Also taking part are Tommaso Cacciapuoti, Carolin Fortenbacher, Tim Grobe, Anika Lehmann and a local chef. The play is set in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant. Three chefs, a waiter, a dishwasher. The kitchen crew is complemented by a local chef who cooks out of passion. His life consists of creating delicious pasta dishes and nothing else - pasta e basta. For the others, the kitchen is a place of their dreams, passions and musical longing for Italy. Goodbye cooking spoon, the kitchen is now the big stage! Great voices emerge, hidden dance talents are revealed, Elvis Presley is imitated and even a grand piano has its place in the kitchen. Incoming orders are only casually considered, pasta is cooked in excess and the dirty dishes pile up in the sink. The throats of the musical troupe only become quite silent when a lady from the office unexpectedly appears at the door and threatens to put an end to the hustle and bustle. Can the kitchen quartet use the power of their music and the local top chef with his delicious pasta creations to beguile the lady from the office and avert the imminent closure of the restaurant? Advance tickets from 25 euros are available at the Agency for Culture, Sport and Volunteering in the Alte Apotheke, Schwesternstraße 10, as well as online at www.frankfurtticket.de. Remaining tickets can be purchased at the box office from 7 pm.
