The public library is delighted to celebrate Pride Month with a special exhibition of queer literature. From 1 to 30 June, the library will present a selection of books that reflect the diversity and depth of the LGBTQ+ community. Why in June? Pride Month commemorates the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York, a turning point for LGBTQ+ rights worldwide, when members of the LGBTQ+ community protested against police violence and discrimination. The exhibition aims to raise awareness of queer issues and promote cultural and literary diversity. The works on display include novels, non-fiction, biographies, children's books and comics/graphic novels. The exhibition offers something for all ages and tastes, from children's books to complex literary works. The public library cordially invites all citizens to visit the libraries in Nieder-Roden and Jügesheim and be inspired by the diversity of queer literature.
