Citizens, as well as cultural initiatives, associations and municipal bodies, can submit proposals for the Culture Prize until 31 August. Every year, alternating with the Culture Prize, the city awards the Culture Promotion Prize for young artists. By awarding this prize, the city of Rodgau supports artists from the fields of visual arts, writing, performing arts or music who are recognised as having exceptional artistic talent and who are still in training or at the beginning of their career. The prize is awarded to individuals or groups who reside or are primarily active in Rodgau. The cultural sponsorship prize is generally divisible and is currently endowed with a sum of 2,500 euros in order to provide financial support for the prizewinner(s) in their work and to give them a motivational boost for the future. Proposals must be accompanied by a detailed written description of the proposed person/group, the achievement to be honoured and the impact on the cultural life of the town of Rodgau and, if applicable, by supporting material. The nomination must include the address or contact details of the nominee and the nominator. Supplementary information such as a curriculum vitae, a history of the organisation, documentation of previous artistic or cultural achievements are also helpful.
