This year, the town of Rodgau is once again presenting an opera in "espresso format" at the bathing lake. On Saturday, 3 August, at 8 pm, "Die Csárdásfürstin" by Emmerich Kálmán will be performed. In keeping with tradition, the non-profit organisation "MUSIC TO GO e.V" is coming to Rodgau to offer the audience classical music in a relaxed atmosphere. People experience great works up close in places they know and where they feel comfortable: On a market square, at an engine shed or even at the Rodgau lido. It doesn't matter whether you are experienced or inexperienced in opera, young or old - everyone is invited to enjoy the music, the artists and the location. Désirée Brodka moderates and explains the event to ensure that even the more difficult pieces are well received by the audience. Of course, initiator Brodka also slips into the costume herself and sings along. The ensemble is completed by Zinzi Frohwein (soprano), George Gamal (baritone), Hong Zhou (tenor) and Maija Tutova (soprano). The string quartet consists of Laura Knapp (1st violin), Anna Straub / Maria Bovina (2nd violin), Gooil Kang / Elizabeth Gärtner (viola) and Maksim Korobeijnikov (cello). The performance lasts around 90 minutes and is free of charge. However, donations for the organisation "MUSIC TO GO e.V." are very welcome. Désirée Brodka has already produced pocket book versions of the operas "Die Zauberflöte" by W. A. Mozart (2015) and "Der Freischütz" by C. M. von Weber (2016) in NRW on behalf of the International Foundation Munich e.V. Under the new sponsorship of "MUSIC TO GO e.V.", the operettas "Der Vogelhändler" by Carl Zeller (2017), "Die lustige Witwe" by Franz Lehár (2018) and the operas "La Traviata" by Verdi (2019), "La Bohème" by Puccini (2021), "L'elisir d'amore" by Donizetti (2022) and "Die Fledermaus" by Johann Strauss (2023) followed.
