The carnival procession winds its way through the streets of Giesem on Shrove Tuesday, 13 February. There will be no stopping signs on both sides of the route of the procession. The roads will be closed to traffic from 2 pm to 6 pm. The procession will line up in Weiskircher Straße, between Ludwigstraße and Alter Weg. The procession then continues along Alter Weg, Eisenbahnstraße, Dudenhöfer Straße, Südring, Babenhäuser Straße, Ostring, Landwehrstraße, Ludwigstraße, Hochstädter Straße, Weiskircher Straße, Vordergasse and Konrad-Kappler-Straße to Jügesheim railway station. Here the carnival procession disperses. Police officers from the town of Rodgau will accompany the procession and provide additional security. Their instructions must therefore be followed at all times. Stadtwerke Rodgau will divert the school/city bus routes and bus route 99 on this day. This will result in all-day timetable changes for the OF-40 and OF-99 bus routes. The OF-40 city bus route will not serve the following stops: "Egerstraße", "Weiskircher Straße", "Untere Sände", "Am Wasserturm", "Wasserfallstraße", "Konrad-Adenauer-Straße", "Georg-Büchner-Schule", "Rodgau-Passage", "Hochstädter Straße", "Jügesheim-Bahnhof" and "Babenhäuser Straße". With the exception of Jügesheim, the school buses will run on the OF-40 line. The route of the OF-40 line and the OF-40 school buses runs in both directions via Rodgau-Ring-Straße. The OF-99 line will not serve the following stops: "Babenhäuser Straße", "Jügesheim Bahnhof" and "Allensteiner Straße". Replacement stops "Dudenhofen Bf" will be set up on both sides of Mainzer Straße near the railway station. The "Haingraben" stop will also be served. The route of the OF-99 line runs in both directions in Rodgau via Rodgau-Ring-Straße, Mainzer Straße and Hegelstraße. Information on the OF-40 line can be obtained from Stadtwerke Rodgau (telephone: 06106 8296-96) and information on the OF-99 line can be obtained from the mobility centre of the district transport company in Dietzenbach (telephone: 06074 69669-29).
