Smartphones, tablets and the internet have become an integral part of most people's everyday lives. This makes it all the more important to be aware of tricks and traps and to know important rules of behaviour. In addition to digital pitfalls such as fake shops, phishing and dubious credit card offers, the talk will also cover how to handle your own data and a knowledge check on copyright law. Melanie Eberts, an internet expert from the Hesse Consumer Advice Centre, will explain how to navigate the digital world safely. The lecture will take place on 31 January, from 16.30 to 18.00, in the Town Hall, City Council Meeting Room, Hintergasse 15. Attendance is free of charge. Registration is not required. Information about the lecture is available from the city's senior citizens' counsellor, Tina Taffet, on 06106 693-1233 or senioren@rodgau.de.
