AKSE: Museum shop in the Rodgau Gallery

"Museumsshop" is the title of Rodgau-based artist Klaus Böhmer's exhibition, which runs from 24 January to 20 March at the Rodgau Gallery at Nieuwpoorter Straße 90. The 69-year-old likes to use found materials and creates something new, sometimes curious and often humorous, by adding or omitting things in his Rodgau studio. The former Städel graduate in painting and art theory is showing a potpourri of his works from recent years, dating back to the 1970s, in a shop and museum setting. Sculptures lovingly designed down to miniature format, drawings, paintings and more will be on display. He draws on a variety of techniques to create "beings" and objects with different characters and forms of expression. His works can always be viewed ironically. Different areas and themes are realised in an amusing and playful way and brought together in one exhibition. Winno Sahm, head of the cultural department, will speak at the opening on 24 January at 6 pm. The diverse exhibition can be marvelled at over drinks and snacks. The artist will be present. There will be a detailed guided tour in February, the exact date will follow. The finissage on 20 March will conclude the presentation with a musical accompaniment. The Rodgau Gallery is open on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 9 pm and Sundays from 2 pm to 6 pm. Admission is free.
