Hesse's youth is collecting. For the new club room, for social contributions at the summer camp, for new games and materials and many other projects. Youth work is valuable, but not entirely free. Once a year, young people therefore go from door to door ("street and house collection") to collect money for youth work. The youth collection week has been an integral part of children's and youth work in Hesse for 70 years and takes place between 14 and 28 March. Even though there have been numerous changes in the meantime, the donations collected help to realise a wide range of projects for children and young people. In recent years, the total amount collected during the Youth Collection Week has consistently exceeded 500,000 euros. From 26 February to 7 March, the collection lists and collection cards can be collected by the leaders of the children's and youth groups (or their authorised representatives) from Rodgau Town Hall, Hintergasse 15. This is only possible by prior appointment. Interested parties should contact the Youth Department, Nicole Luger, on 06106-693 1235 or by e-mail at jugend@rodgau.de to arrange an appointment.
