Rodgau 16plus takes over the refurbishment of the book cell in Jügesheim

The popular book cell in Jügesheim on Rathausplatz will be temporarily dismantled from January 2025 in order to undergo a comprehensive refurbishment and renovation. The work will be carried out by Rodgau 16plus, the Rodgau city council's career guidance project. In February 2025, the book cell is expected to be back in its usual place and citizens will once again be able to enjoy a wide range of free books. The book cell, which serves as a central contact point for the exchange of reading material in the Jügesheim district, needs a thorough overhaul due to wear and tear and the effects of the weather. The Rodgau 16plus project will ensure that the cell is in perfect condition and accessible to the public once it has been refurbished. "The work of Rodgau 16plus is a prime example of the commitment and importance of a functioning civil society in our city. Their tireless commitment to projects such as the book cell helps to enrich life in Rodgau and promote togetherness. I greatly appreciate this work and am delighted that the book cell will soon be available again thanks to Rodgau 16plus," emphasises First City Councillor Janika Martin. The renovation of the book cell is intended to ensure that the popular meeting place for literature lovers in Rodgau will continue to offer a beautiful and functional space in the future. During the cell's short break in Jügesheim, citizens can use the cells in Dudenhofen (at the intersection of Freiherr-vom-Stein-Straße and Hinter dem Born) and at Puiseauxplatz in Nieder-Roden.
