Next measures against pavement parking

At the beginning of the week, the public order authority distributed the notices to residents as usual. In addition, over the next few weeks, vehicles parked on the pavement in Ostring and Landwehrstraße in Jügesheim will also be informed via red notices on the vehicles. In some areas of both streets, the vehicles are already off the pavement, so not all of them are affected. Traffic violations such as stopping and parking will be warned from 9 September. This means that there will also be enough time to think about alternative parking options in these streets. The campaign, which began more than two years ago, is now nearing completion. Only the areas around the major construction sites on Ludwig-Erhard-Platz and Schillerstraße will be included in the pavement parking campaign once the construction work has been completed. The public order authority will then inform the affected residents as usual. In the streets where the campaign has already been carried out, parking on the pavement will continue to be cautioned. The warning fine of €55 is based on a nationwide increase in charges by the Federal Ministry of Transport (since November 2021). This is intended to emphasise the importance of non-motorised traffic on pavements, which is particularly worthy of protection.
