The citizens of the European Union will elect the European Parliament for the tenth time on Sunday, 9 June. All German citizens and EU citizens who have reached the age of 16, have been resident in Germany or an EU country for at least three months (9 March) and are not disqualified from voting are eligible to vote. It is now possible to exercise your right to vote by postal vote. Anyone wishing to vote by post requires a polling card, which can be applied for in various ways. By 18 May at the latest, all eligible voters will receive an election notification by German post. On the reverse side, you have the opportunity to request postal voting documents by completing the application form. You can apply online via the homepage at www.rodgau.de/Europawahl. It is also possible to apply directly on site at the Citizens' Service Centre in the town hall, Hintergasse 15. Please bring an identity document with you. If you would prefer to request the documents in writing, you can do so by sending an email to wahlen@rodgau.de. Please state your surname and first name, date of birth and home address or, if applicable, a different delivery address. Applications by telephone are not permitted.
