Fairtrade Town

Rodgau is on its way to becoming a Fairtrade Town. By taking this step, the town wants to send a visible signal in favour of sustainable consumption, global justice and responsible action. For this to succeed, Rodgau needs broad support from the entire urban community.

What does Fairtrade Town mean?

The Fairtrade certificate recognises cities that actively promote fair trade together with local stakeholders and thus contribute to improving working and living conditions worldwide.

How can you take part?

Participation is simple and effective - you offer in your

  • Operation
  • Association
  • Parish
  • Daycare centre
  • School
  • Organisation

offer at least two fair trade products for sale or use them in the manufacture of your products or work with them?

Examples of products: 

  • Fair trade coffee beans, bananas, tea, cocoa, sugar
  • Fair trade flowers, soap, shoes, clothing
  • Fair trade balls, sports jerseys, toys

Participation is free of charge for you.

What needs to be done?

  1. Simply fill in the appropriate form
  2. Send form by e-mail to wirtschaft@rodgau.de

The Agency for Economic Development and City Marketing will then contact you.
