TOWNy as a personal assistant

TOWNy, the new chatbot, is a symbolically drawn image of the water tower with glasses and a friendly smiling face.

TOWNy is an AI-based chatbot that allows users to ask questions about the city administration and municipal utilities websites simply by text or voice input. You are welcome to ask whole sentences, just like in a human conversation, instead of entering them in the website search.

Like any AI, TOWNy responds based on a variety of available information. It can happen that TOWNy misinterprets information and thus partly fantasises. The results may therefore be partially or, more rarely, completely wrong. Please scrutinise critically - as with any AI model - whether the answer can be correct.

You can rate the answers at any time using "thumbs up" and "thumbs down". This helps to continuously improve quality. You are also welcome to send us an e-mail to kommunikation@rodgau.de with any cases that you think are worth reporting.


Tips for using the chatbot

If you take the following points into account, this will help to increase the quality of the answers.

  • If you make several queries, delete the chat history after 10-12 questions or when you query a new topic using the rubbish bin symbol.
  • Excessively long "conversations" can lead to confusing statements for the chatbot, as the algorithm refers in part to the previous queries. Deleting prevents this effect.
  • Formulate exactly and as precisely as possible. If the first result does not lead you to your goal, sharpen up with new questions.
  • Use the "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" buttons to rate the answers in order to permanently improve the results.
