Dear Rodgau residents,

Thank you very much for your interest in my person.

I grew up in Rodgau and live in Jügesheim, where I have been the first female councillor of our home town since June 2024.
I have close ties with Rodgau and attended the local educational institutions. I attended the Wilhelm-Busch-Schule and the Georg-Büchner-Schule in Jügesheim before completing my Abitur at the Claus-von-Stauffenberg-Schule in Dudenhofen.

I completed my studies in the subjects of German, history, philosophy and ethics with the first state examination for teaching at grammar schools at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. I completed my pedagogical-practical training as a secondary school teacher with the second state examination at the Oswald-von-Nell-Breuning-Schule in Rödermark and then worked at the Max-Eyth-Schule, a vocational secondary school in Dreieich, until 31 May 2024.

I am 40 years old, come from a Rodgau catering business on my father's side (Emge butcher's shop and restaurant in Hainhausen), have a patient, fully supportive husband and, together with him, an adorable daughter.

Meine, we prefer to fill our free time with meaningful volunteer work. I am the chairwoman of the SPD Rodgau and worked as a member of the SPD parliamentary group in Rodgau until 31 May 2024.
I am now grateful for the opportunity to contribute my knowledge and skills in cooperation with the mayor, the municipal committees, a committed administration and the citizens of Rodgau in my hometown in the responsible position as First City Councillor.

I look forward to getting to know you! See you soon and best regards!

Your First City Councillor Janika Martin
