Volunteering

Volunteering is not just about "helping others", it also means personal development and the opportunity to help shape things. Many people in Rodgau do voluntary work in clubs, associations, initiatives or churches. Get involved too!

The city of Rodgau offers the volunteer exchange

  • Volunteer support in the search for the right volunteer position
  • Associations & organisations the opportunity to find committed volunteers for open volunteer positions

For volunteers - Where to volunteer?

Are you looking for a voluntary position, but which one? In a personal discussion, we will work with you to decide which activity is right for you.

  • Social project
  • Cultural programme
  • Environmental initiative
  • Sports clubs
  • and much more...

To support you in the initial phase, we have put together some tips for you that you can use as a guide for initial discussions with the organisation of your choice. We clarify questions such as:

  • What is your role?
  • What are the general conditions?
  • Are you insured?

Once you have found a job, we will be happy to keep in touch. If the first job is perhaps not the right one for you, if the time available changes or if you are looking for other jobs, we will help you further.

How does mediation work?

During our office hours or by appointment, please call us

  • Fields of interest
  • Expectations
  • Skills
  • Experience
  • Wishes

This is recorded in a contact form. We then suggest suitable positions. You will receive the contact details and can get in touch with the respective institutions. Placement and counselling is free of charge.

For clubs and organisations - Are you looking for volunteers?

Do you need volunteer support for your work in an association, non-profit organisation or initiative? We will be happy to advise you on all questions relating to volunteer management:

  • What framework conditions are necessary for this?
  • What support do the volunteers need?

How does the placement work?

The contact details of your organisation and the task profiles for volunteers are passed on to the respective interested party. They form the basis for the detailed counselling interview that we conduct with the interested parties.

Regular contact between you and the Volunteer Exchange remains important. To this end, we carry out a kind of "inventory" once a year with the aim of

  • Are more volunteers needed?
  • Have long-standing volunteers quit?
  • How satisfied are you with each of them?
