There was plenty to experience during the varied programme of events and celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the Rodgau Childminding Agency. Among other things, young and old alike really put their knowledge of childminding to the test in an anniversary quiz. Through this, they learnt that childminding does not refer to the care of sick children, but rather to the educational care and support of a maximum of five children in a family-like environment. They also learnt that, every year, over 80 children in Rodgau are lovingly looked after and given educational support by childminders. Another correct answer in the quiz was that there are over 20 qualified childminders in Rodgau, as well as four additional stand-in childminders. Three winners were drawn from the submitted quiz slips, who can look forward to receiving an ‘interactive children’s book’. Hannes, a child in the Rodgau childminding service, is pictured here on behalf of everyone. The management team at the Childminding Office warmly congratulates the lucky winners, thanks them for taking part and hopes they enjoy reading the book.
