Intercultural women's breakfast on the day of remembrance "NO to violence against women"

"No to violence against women" is the official day of remembrance on 25 November, which has been recognised by the United Nations since 1999. The town of Rodgau and the Rodgau Women's Network are sending out a clear signal and resolutely saying: "No to violence against women". As a visible symbol, the Terre des Femmes flag "live free" will be hoisted in front of the town hall at 11 am on 25 November. The women's network is thus remembering all women who have been victims of violence. Together with the Rodgau Women's Network, the municipal equal opportunities office and the Rodgau CDU Women's Union cordially invite you to the next "Intercultural Women's Breakfast" on the occasion of Remembrance Day. It will take place on Saturday, 22 November, from 10 a.m. in the Jügesheim Town Hall, Hintergasse 15, 1st floor. A special guest at the event will be Ariane Mantey-Strauß, Head of the Counselling Centre East of the Caritas Association Offenbach am Main, who, together with a colleague, will present the diverse range of services offered by the counselling centre. The Rodgau Women's Network has been in existence for many years and brings together women from a wide range of groups from all over the city, regardless of religion, nationality or age. All interested women are cordially invited to come together for a cosy get-together over a varied breakfast. As usual, the buffet can be enriched by small culinary contributions from visitors. Registration: 06106 693-1451 or e-mail: frauen@rodgau.de. Although Remembrance Day has only been officially recognised since 1999, human rights organisations around the world have been working towards the same goal since 1981: respecting and protecting the rights of women and girls. Unfortunately, domestic violence against women is still part of everyday life today, even in our society. Any woman can be affected, regardless of origin, age or social status. The forms of violence are manifold: physical, psychological, sexual, social, emotional and also economic violence. Children are almost always affected, and simply witnessing the assault on their mother can have serious consequences for their well-being and development.
