On Sunday, 31 August, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., clubs, associations, companies and institutions will once again be presenting themselves at the "Rodgau Seniors' Day" in and around the town hall. The Senior Citizens' Day is definitely worth a visit. Information opportunities and socialising are all part of the motto "Rodgau - my town! - I want to grow old here" at this traditional event. This year's information stands include the geriatric day clinic of the Asklepios Klinik Seligenstadt, Bürgerhilfe Rodgau e.V., CareKomm Pflegedienst, Sozialstation Rodgau gGmbH, VHS Stadt Rodgau, rodgaucard, Hildegard von Bingen Senioren-Zentrum, "Tante Emma", SKG Rodgau, the Guttempler, Johanniter-Unfallhilfe e.V., the Rodgau diabetics' self-help group, KORPEO GmbH & CoKG, Pro Retina Deutschland e.V., "HörSinn", "Wein und Kunst" and the Schmidt beekeeping family. There will be interesting information on topics such as fitness, health and support with the decision to remain in one's own, perhaps barrier-free, home in old age. IT advice will not be neglected either: at the library stand, an expert will answer questions about mobile phones and PCs and "WISA - wir sind angekommen e.V." will explain the "Digital Café" project. The senior citizens' clubs and meetings will be presenting their offers for social gatherings or excursions. And even electricity tariffs can be checked at the Senior Citizens' Day. This year, in addition to a wealth of information, there will also be plenty on offer in the fashion, fun and leisure section. In addition to a great fashion show, the "Modemobil" will be offering the new autumn/winter collection for men and women to try on and buy. At the "Pierre Lang" stand, visitors will have the opportunity to make their outfits sparkle with jewellery accessories. There are great prizes to be won at the senior citizens' advice stand: "rodgaucard" with a credit balance of €75.00, annual pass for the lido, tickets for theatre or cabaret, VHS voucher, bakery voucher worth €15 from one of the local bakeries Bauder, Bickert, Eifler, Schäfer, Spahn and Wolz. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the donors. Once again this year, the "Dalmatia" town hall restaurant will be catering for the physical well-being of visitors with its well-known culinary delicacies. Some guests will once again find it difficult to choose from the large cake buffet organised by the Dudenhöfer Landfrauen. After the welcome by First City Councillor Janika Martin, the Rodgau brass band will open the stage programme. From around 2 p.m., musician "Big T" will provide the best atmosphere with his live music. Once again this year, a shuttle bus service to the Rodgau Seniors' Day will be available to visitors. From 7 p.m. to 5.15 p.m., they can travel to and from the event in one of the "Flaschenträger" bus company's scheduled sprinters. Walking frames can also be transported and wheelchair spaces are also available. The buses will be travelling on two fixed routes during the specified time: the Weiskirchen - Hainhausen - Jügesheim route and the Rollwald - Nieder-Roden - Dudenhofen - Jügesheim route.
